At Sunstone Systems, we are a British technology company dedicated to developing innovative renewable energy solutions that solve real-world problems across various sectors and markets. Recently, we had the opportunity to work with a US-based customer to create an Autonomous Remote Communication (ARC) system that required a reliable and consistent power supply for surveillance and communication equipment in a remote location without access to a hardwired power source.
Our challenge was to develop a completely stand-alone and rapidly deployable system that could operate year-round with a capacity equivalent to 50-100 W. Additionally, the system had to support live streaming of surveillance and analytics to the customer's video management system and monitoring center in the US. To meet these requirements, we developed a solar and methanol ARC system that operated fully autonomously.
At the heart of the system, we integrated the EFOY Pro 2800 Fuel Cell as the primary solar power source. This integration provided extra reliability for the ARC system, particularly during periods of poor solar performance and through the winter months. The EFOY fuel cell technology also enabled us to expand the number and variety of security sensors on our platforms, including radar, thermal imaging, and ANPR technologies.
Our ARC system is entirely self-sufficient all year round, with the EFOY Pro 2800 Fuel Cell and a MT60 methanol tank, which can provide up to seven days of energy without solar or methanol fuel. We control the fuel cell using the EFOY Cloud over the 5G cellular network, providing remote monitoring and control capabilities.
We are proud to have partnered with EFOY Technologies and their resellers, who have provided us with ongoing support and helped us to deliver these innovative technologies to our customers. As Simon Legrand, Chief Marketing Officer from Sunstone Systems, stated, "We continue to be impressed by EFOY Technologies and their fuel cells. They are simple to integrate, use and deploy. Also, the integration of the fuel cell has meant we have increased the number and type of security sensors we can use on our platforms."
Our success in developing the solar and methanol ARC system underscores our commitment to creating robust, innovative, renewable energy solutions that solve real-world problems across a range of markets and sectors. As we continue to push the boundaries of what is possible, we believe that our partnership with EFOY Technologies will play a crucial role in our ongoing success.
